Dr. Lori L. Blackmer
Optometrist
Dr. Lori Blackmer attended Stetson University in Deland Florida. She received her doctor of optometry degree from
Southern College of Optometry in Memphis TN in 1987.
After three years as a staff member of Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, Dr. Blackmer purchased Picayune Eye Clinic in 1990. Dr. Blackmer has previously served on the Picayune School District Board of Directors, the Chamber of Commerce Board, and the Mississippi Optometric Association Board of Directors. She is presently on the Legislative and Public Health Committees for the State Association. Dr. Blackmer is presently serving on the Mississippi State Board of Examiners and as an adjunct professor for UPIKE Kentucky College of Optometry. Dr. Blackmer is a member of the Rotary Club and the Chamber of Commerce. She was given the privileged title of Optometrist of the year for the state of Mississippi in 2014.
Dr. Blackmer has been married to fellow optometrist, Dr. Marc Hautot for over 30 years. They have two children.
Dr. Blackmer enjoys canning and crocheting in her spare time.

Dr. Marc Hautot received his Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University in 1983. He received his
Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in 1987.
Dr. Hautot joined Picayune Eye Clinic in 2019 after thirty years on staff of Eye Surgery Center of Louisiana.
He is married to fellow optometrist, Dr. Lori Blackmer. They have two children, Claire and Paul. In his spare time,
Dr. Hautot enjoys gardening, woodworking, and spending time at his camp.

Dr. Bonnie E. Keaton
Optometrist
Dr. Bonnie Keaton was born and raised in Bogalusa, Louisiana, and is a graduate of Franklinton High School. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Southern Mississippi. While at USM, she was very active in the Lions Club of Hattiesburg. Dr. Keaton then went on to graduate with her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Pikeville – Kentucky College of Optometry. She continued her passion for Lions Club while at UPIKE, helping to start the first Lions Club and receiving the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award.
As a long time patient of Dr. Hautot, Dr. Keaton enjoyed the opportunity to come to Picayune to learn and train under both Dr. Blackmer and Dr. Hautot during one of her rotations at UPIKE. Dr. Keaton is excited to continue to work with Dr. Blackmer and Dr. Hautot to serve the people of Picayune and surrounding areas.
Dr. Keaton is an active member of the American Optometric Association and Mississippi Optometric Association. She is licensed
to practice optometry in both the state of Mississippi and Louisiana.
